Southwest Airlines Launches southwestgiftcard®

October 19, 2005 — Southwest Airlines announced today the upcoming launch of its gift card. Beginning November 1, 2005, the card can be purchased and redeemed online at Southwest's web site, southwest.com. It’s the ideal stocking stuffer, even for last-minute gift givers. "We're always interested in giving our Customers a new way to enjoy our low fares. Through our low everyday fares, breadth of service across the country, the ease of our web site, and now the southwestgiftcards, travel on Southwest Airlines is the ideal gift this season," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's Sr. VP of Marketing.
