At Southwest Airlines, we value the meaningful relationships we have built in the communities we serve. The month of February is a great time for us to celebrate Black History, but for us, it’s not just a month-long celebration. We celebrate our commitment to the African American community all year long. Through the relationships we have built with organizations throughout the country, we get to make a difference every day. When it comes to celebrating Black History, at Southwest Airlines, we’re proud to say We Do.
The Greater Baltimore Urban League
Southwest Airlines is proud to support the Greater Baltimore Urban League (GBUL). Through our support of their youth programs, we have the opportunity to celebrate current achievements in the African-American community and play an important role in Black History in the making. The mission of GBUL is to enable African Americans and other minorities to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. The Greater Baltimore Urban League movement carries out its mission through direct services, advocacy, research, policy analysis, community mobilization, collaboration and communications. For more information, visit the Greater Baltimore Urban League.
