Corpus Christi is known as the "Sparkling City by the Sea." Enjoy attractions such as the Texas State Aquarium, the Aircraft carrier USS Lexington, the Corpus Christi Greyhound Racetrack, or the replicas of the Columbus ships docked next to the museum of Science and History. This city has also become known as one of the best windsurfing locations in the United States. Thirty minutes from Corpus Christi is Mustang Island and the Gulf Coast Beach of Port Aransas.

In Corpus Christi, there are numerous restaurants and hotels along the waterfront, and a sailboat regatta is held in the bay every Wednesday afternoon. At the T-heads, you can rent a surry to peddle down to the waterfront, or a paddleboat if you prefer being in the water. You can also buy seafood off the boats as they come in, or take a cruise off the bay. Boats are available to take you bay fishing or deep sea fishing. In addition to some of the best seafood around, you can also get some of the best "Tex-Mex" cuisine to be had in Corpus Christi.
