Step-by-Step Booking Instructions - Air

• To begin, click on the word RESERVATIONS from the main blue navigation bar at the top of your screen. The Reservations screen will be displayed, and you will begin with Air Step 1: Plan Trip.
  
  
  
  

• Follow the step by step instructions below to book and purchase air travel on southwest.com.
• If you are flexible with your travel dates, you can use Southwest Shortcut to Low Fares to search for the lowest fares available for up to a month.
• If you don't want to make air reservations but do want to make car or hotel reservations, click on the Car or Hotel tab.

• Air Step 1: Plan Trip
  Lets you select your departure, arrival and return cities, departure and return dates, departure and return times, and the number of passengers traveling.
• Air Step 2: Select Flight
  Shows the flights that match your travel needs and the fare ranges available in that market. You select which fare on which flight best suits your needs.
• Air Step 3: Price
  Shows the exact fare type for each passenger, the total trip cost including any taxes and PFCs, plus any restrictions associated with the fares you selected (such as an advance purchase requirement).
• Air Step 4 – Purchase
  Lets you purchase your Ticketless Travel. You must provide your name, billing address, phone number, credit card information, and passenger names.
• Air Step 5 – Booked
  Shows your Ticketless confirmation number, itinerary, and payment recap; this is your receipt and confirmation. You'll also receive a confirmation by U.S. Mail automatically.
