If all you need to do is check your bags, Express Bag Drop is for you! This separate line lets Customers who already have a boarding pass in hand and just need to check a bag move past the ticket counter faster so they can get on with the rest of their trip.
Follow three simple steps to take advantage of Express Bag Drop:
*If you don’t have a boarding pass when you arrive, you can also obtain one at the “Self-Service” kiosk in the lobby area.
If you are traveling on a shared itinerary, only Customers who have an itinerary where Southwest Airlines is both the Marketing Carrier and the Operating Carrier of the first flight are eligible to use Express Bag Drop. Customers who purchased their itinerary through AirTran booking channels or are traveling on AirTran for the first leg of their trip should use the Full Service line to check baggage.
In most cases, Express Bag Drop is located at the end of our ticket counter closest to the security checkpoint because we know you are in a hurry and want to get to the gate fast! Just look for the Express Bag Drop sign indicating the line’s location when you arrive. Our friendly Customer Service Agents at the line entrance can also help direct you to correct lane.
