Membership and Account

You may enroll in the Rapid Rewards program by visiting southwest.com and using the quick and easy enrollment process.  Once enrolled, your account number will appear on the screen, and you may print your Rapid Rewards membership card.  To start earning points immediately on Southwest flights or with Rapid Rewards Partners, provide your account number when making your purchase. 

If you know your account number, simply provide it when making a reservation (or provide it when completing a transaction with a Rapid Rewards Partner) to qualify for earning points.  If you do not know it, you may look it up via the "Need Help Logging In?" function within southwest.com.  To access this function, simply position your mouse over "Rapid Rewards" in the top menu bar until a drop down list appears.  Select "Need Help Logging In?"

If you know your account number, simply provide it when making a reservation to receive points. If you do not know it, you may look it up via the "Look Up Rapid Rewards Number" function within southwest.com.  To access this function, simply position your mouse over "Rapid Rewards" in the top menu bar until a drop down list appears.  Select "Need Help Logging In?" 

Rapid Rewards Members can access their account status 24-hours a day online at southwest.com.  Simply enter your account number and password to view your account, book reward and Companion travel, or set your personal preferences!

Members can also access the Rapid Rewards automated voice response system by calling (800) 445-5764 for general account information.

Access your Rapid Rewards account from the southwest.com home page:

  • Click on "Account Login"
  • Enter your username or Rapid Rewards account number and password.

Note:  You selected an account password when you enrolled online.

You can request a password at southwest.com by simply clicking on the "Need Help Logging In?" link under Account Login.  Simply provide all of the necessary information and a password will be e-mailed or mailed to the address in your account.

If you can't remember your username or account number, simply click on the "Need help logging in?" link under Account Login.  Then provide all of the necessary information and your username and account number will be instantly provided to you online.

If you have never logged in to your account at southwest.com, simply click on the "Need help logging in?" link under Account Login.  You will be required to provide all of the necessary information, including your Rapid Rewards account number, to finish setting up your account.

Yes. After logging into your account at southwest.com, click on the "My Account" link under your name in the welcome message box on the right.  Locate the "My Preference" tab.  This section will allow you to add or edit your personal information, account e-mail addresses, postal address, phone numbers, and other information pertaining to your Rapid Rewards account.

Keeping your account information current ensures that you will receive all communications pertaining to your account.  When updating your account information, make sure to provide your most frequently used phone number as your primary number.  This will allow our system to recognize you when you call the number on the back of your Membership card and, if applicable, route your call through our Priority Call Routing system.

No. For security purposes, we do not allow name changes online. Instead, you can forward your Rapid Rewards account number, along with photocopies of legal documents (driver license, marriage certificate, etc.) and an informal letter indicating your legal name, to Rapid Rewards, P.O. Box 36657, Dallas, TX 75235. Please allow four weeks for processing. 

Yes.  The Report is your personalized monthly account statement.  This monthly e-mail gives you personalized account information, including your current point totals; your progress toward A-List, A-List Preferred, and Companion Pass status; as well as useful account tips to maximize your Membership. 

You can subscribe to The Report at any time by simply filling out this form.

To view your account history:

  • Log in to your Rapid Rewards account.
  • Click on the "My Account" link under your name in the welcome message box.
  • View Upcoming Trips, Saved Trips, and Past Flights under the "Snapshot" tab.
  • Locate "Recent Points Activity" in the left column, and click on the "View All My Points" button to sort your account history by transaction.

Yes.  If you have not yet taken your trip, you can add your Rapid Rewards number  to your reservation or you can ask a Southwest Airlines Customer Service Agent to add it when you arrive at the airport. 

If you have already taken your trip and would like to request Rapid Rewards Points for a past flight, simply log into your account and choose "Request Past Flight Points" from the Quick Links drop down box at the top of the page.  You must provide your record locator (confirmation number) from your reservation.  After verification of your flight information (approximately 3-5 days), points will be deposited into your account.

Rapid Rewards Last Activity Date

Rapid Rewards accounts will remain active and points won’t expire as long as you earn Rapid Rewards Points from flights or Partners every 24 months.
