Rapid Rewards Awards Earning a standard award is simple

With Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, earning a free flight is a snap*! We base our Rapid Rewards program on the number of
trips you take. You’ll receive one (1) credit for each one-way flight, or two (2) credits for each roundtrip flight. After you fly eight (8) roundtrips (or receive 16 credits) in 24 consecutive months, we’ll automatically deposit a Rapid Rewards Standard Award in your account. It’s that easy!

Fly FREELY with freedom awards

Rapid Rewards Members can now convert two Standard Awards into one Freedom Award with few blackout dates and no seat restrictions. So if a seat is available, it’s yours! See more on Converting to a Freedom Award.

Get your award even faster

Receive a roundtrip Standard Award even faster by earning credits thorugh our Rapid Rewards Preferred Partners. Even if you don't fly frequently, our Partners provide you with easy ways to get the 16 credits necessary to receive a free Standard Award.

Where will your award take you?

Thanks to Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, your favorite destination is closer than you think. So whether you want to lie on the beach or explore the mountains, your Standard Award can get you to more than 65 destinations nationwide! To make a reservation, login to your MySouthwest account or contact a Southwest Customer Support Representative at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA to book the Award travel. Award travel is subject to the government-imposed September 11th Security Fee of up to $10 roundtrip. For more details, please read our Guidelines for using an Award.

Freedom Awards are not subject to seat restrictions when traveling on Southwest Airlines-operated itineraries, but they are subject to limited blackout dates. Standard Awards are subject to seat restrictions, and seats will not be available on all flights on all days.
