TITLE: Vice President, Flight Operations
JOB DESCRIPTION: Chuck has primary responsibility for serving our approximately 5,500 Flight Ops Employees. He supervises Southwest’s Flight Operations Department, which includes Pilots, Crew Planning/Scheduling/Payroll, and Flight Training and Administration. He also develops and implements policy and procedures to ensure safe and efficient flight operations at Southwest.
LENGTH OF SERVICE AT SOUTHWEST: Started July 1993
EXPERIENCE: Chuck began his career in the United States Marine Corps as a F-18 Fighter Pilot. At Southwest Airlines Chuck has been a Captain, Check Airman, Chief Pilot for the HOU Pilot Base, and the Sr. Chief Pilot. Chuck holds and ATP with a type rating in the 737.
EDUCATION: Chuck earned his BS in business administration from Arizona State University.
FAMILY: Wife, Lisa, and two Children, Caitlin and Patrick

PROUDEST MOMENT: The birth of my son. I missed the birth of my daughter serving in Operation Desert Storm.
