Southwest Airlines Acceptable Forms of Payment

The following are acceptable at all Southwest Airlines Ticketing Locations

• Credit Cards:
  
  Southwest Airlines accepts American Express, Optima, MasterCard, Visa, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Discover Card/NOVUS, Access, and Air Travel Card. Credit Cards may be redeemed at southwest.com, through Southwest Airlines Reservations, and at Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter locations.
• Unused Ticketless Travel Funds:
  
  Southwest Airlines accepts unused Ticketless Travel Funds for Passenger travel on Southwest Airlines or for flights on codeshare partners purchased through Southwest Airlines, excluding Southwest Airlines Group Reservations. Unused Ticketless Travel Funds may be redeemed at southwest.com, through Southwest Airlines Reservations, and at Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter locations.
• southwestgiftcards™:
  
  Southwest Airlines accepts southwestgiftcards for Passenger travel on Southwest Airlines or for flights on codeshare partners purchased through Southwest Airlines, excluding Southwest Airlines Group Reservations. A southwestgiftcard may be redeemed at southwest.com, through Southwest Airlines Reservations, and at Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter locations. Both the 16-digit card number and four-digit security code are needed to make a purchase with a southwestgiftcard.

• Southwest LUV Vouchers:
  
  Southwest Airlines accepts Southwest LUV Vouchers for Passenger travel only on Southwest Airlines, excluding Southwest Airlines Group Tickets. Southwest LUV Vouchers may not be used towards Southwest Airlines Vacation Packages, or for travel wholly or in part on other carriers. Southwest LUV Vouchers may be redeemed at southwest.com, through Southwest Airlines Reservations, and at Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter locations. To redeem a Southwest LUV Voucher, purchaser must have a Southwest LUV Voucher number and associated Security Code.

The following are acceptable only at Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter locations

• Cash:
  
  Southwest Airlines accepts cash for payment of purchase at all airport ticket counter locations.
• Checks:
  
  Southwest Airlines accepts personal checks made payable to Southwest Airlines for the exact amount of purchase at all airport ticket counter locations. Checks must include a printed name, mailing address, and telephone number. A valid driver's license with picture (or valid passport) is required.
  Southwest Airlines also accepts company checks made payable to Southwest Airlines for the exact amount of purchase at all airport ticket counter locations. Proper identification (valid driver's license and valid company identification) of the person presenting the check is required.

The following is acceptable only at southwest.com

• PayPal®:
  
  Southwest Airlines accepts payment from your PayPal account for initial airfare purchases. PayPal account purchases may be combined with southwestgiftcards™, Southwest LUV Vouchers, or funds from an unused Ticketless reservation. PayPal account purchases may not be combined with funds from another credit card.
