¹Basic Fare: Basic fares are non-refundable except as allowed by our 24-hour cancellation policy. Flight changes are allowed but require a fare upgrade. Customers may be eligible for a flight credit if canceled at least 10 minutes prior to the flight's original departure time.

²Seat: For Basic fares, seats will be assigned at check-in with the exception of A-List Preferred and A-List Members as well as Rapid Rewards^® Credit Cardmembers who may choose a seat prior to check-in. ​For Choice Extra, you can select an available Extra Legroom seat (or any other available seat) at time of booking. Extra Legroom seats have a few more inches of legroom and are located at the front of the cabin and exit rows. For Choice Preferred, you can select an available Preferred seat (or any available Standard seat) at the time of booking. Preferred seats have standard legroom and are near the front of the cabin. Standard seats also have standard legroom but are in the back of the cabin. All seats included in the fare bundle are subject to availability. When seats are purchased separately from a fare, the seat cannot be canceled unless you cancel the flight, too. You’ll receive a flight credit for the seat. Seat exchanges are permitted; price difference may apply. Seats purchased separately are refundable back to the original form of payment only when exchanged for a higher priced seat. Learn more.

³Boarding group: Boarding group is based on the seat type and location in the cabin. The seats included in the fare bundle are based on availability. Our Rapid Rewards^® A-List Preferred Members will board in Groups 1 or 2, and our A-List Members and Rapid Rewards^® Credit Cardmembers will board no later than Group 5.​

⁴Rapid Rewards^® points: Points can be earned from (a) Qualifying Flights (defined below) operated by Southwest^®, or (b) qualifying purchases with our Rapid Rewards^® partners. “Qualifying Flights” include flights operated by Southwest Airlines^® and paid entirely with dollars, Southwest LUV Vouchers^®, gift cards, or flight credits and those paid with Cash + Points. NOTE: With a Cash + Points booking, points are earned only on the portion of the base fare that is paid with dollars. Qualifying Flights exclude reward flights, charter flights, nonrevenue travel, and Companion Pass^® travel. All Rapid Rewards rules and regulations apply and can be found at Southwest.com/rrterms.

⁵No cancel fee: No cancel fees. All fare types are eligible for cancellations without a fee. For roundtrip reservations, if one or both flight segments is booked with a Basic fare, cancellations are only permitted if either a) both flight segments are canceled or b) the Basic fare segment(s) is upgraded. Failure to cancel a reservation at least 10 minutes prior to original scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds.​

⁶Flight credit expiration: To receive a flight credit, you must cancel your flight at least 10 minutes prior to the flight’s original scheduled departure time. If you do not cancel, your points and funds may be forfeited. Learn more. A Transferable Flight Credit^™ created from Choice Extra, Choice Preferred, and Choice reservations expires 12 months from the date the fare was booked and ticketed. Basic fare flight credits expire 6 months from the date the fare was booked and ticketed.

⁷Changes: If you need to change an upcoming flight itinerary, you’ll only pay the difference in fare for Choice, Choice Preferred, and Choice Extra fares (if one applies). For Basic fares, you may upgrade the fare to Choice, Choice Preferred or Choice Extra. Failure to cancel a reservation at least 10 minutes prior to original scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds.

⁸Free Inflight Entertainment: Where available. Available only on WiFi-enabled designated aircraft.

⁹Checked bag: Bag fees apply to Basic, Choice, and Choice Preferred fares. Choice Extra fares and Rapid Rewards^® A-List Preferred Members receive two free checked bags. A-List Members and Rapid Rewards Credit Cardmembers only receive their first checked bag for free. Checked bag benefits do not apply on flights booked with a partner carrier. ¹⁰Transferable Flight Credit^™: To receive a credit, you must cancel your flight at least 10 minutes prior to the flight’s original scheduled departure time. If you do not cancel, your points and funds may be forfeited. Learn more. A Transferable Flight Credit^™ expires 12 months from the date the fare was booked and ticketed. A Transferable Flight Credit^™ can be transferred between Rapid Rewards^® Members. Only one transfer is permitted. For bookings made through a Southwest^® Business channel, transfers are allowed only between employees within the organization.

¹¹Free same-day change/standby: For both same-day change and same-day standby, you must change your flight or request to be added to the same-day standby list at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of your original scheduled flight or the no-show policy will apply. If using the app or mobile web, you must make the change or list your name 60 minutes (for domestic flights) or 90 minutes (for international flights) ahead of the new flight’s scheduled departure. You will be required to pay any government taxes and fees associated with these itinerary changes, but refunds will be provided. Your original seat and boarding group is not guaranteed. Southwest^® Business Customers booked through travel agencies may need to see a Southwest Agent at the airport for both a same-day change or standby listing. ¹²Refundable: As long as you cancel your reservation at least 10 minutes prior to the original scheduled departure of your flight, you’re eligible to receive 100% of your ticket value as a refund to your original form of payment. A Southwest^® flight credit from a previous reservation that is applied toward a Choice Extra or Choice Preferred fare will be refunded as a Transferable Flight Credit^™. For travel booked with Rapid Rewards^® points, if canceled, points will be returned to the Rapid Rewards account holder who booked the reservation. ¹⁴Priority Lane and Express Lane: Priority and Express Lanes, (where available), can be accessed by Choice Extra and Choice Preferred Customers and A-List and A-List Preferred Members. Priority Lanes are at Southwest^® check-in counters, and Express Lanes are at security checkpoints.

¹⁵Premium drink: On select flights traveling 251 miles or more, Choice Extra travelers receive one complimentary premium drink on the day of travel and A-List Preferred Members receive up to two complimentary premium drinks per leg. Drink coupons are subject to availability. Service may also be limited at Southwest's discretion. This coupon has no cash value. Drink coupon is void if altered, sold, purchased, brokered, or bartered. Non-exchangeable for other goods or services. Southwest Airlines^® reserves the right to discontinue its drink coupon program at any time. Coupon is invalid after expiration date and will not be updated or replaced. Alcohol purchased with drink coupons must be consumed onboard the aircraft. Must be 21 years or older to consume alcoholic beverages.
