All Hands and Hearts
All Hands and Hearts effectively and efficiently addresses the immediate and long-term needs of communities impacted by natural disasters. We communicate directly with local leaders and community members and then deploy our unique model of engaging volunteers to enable direct impact, helping to build safer, more resilient schools, homes and infrastructure. Through volunteer and community engagement, we focus on helping families recover faster after natural disasters using our “smart response” strategy. In doing so, we strengthen both our volunteers, and communities in which we serve.
The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers, and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering- here at home and around the world.
Dream Foundation, the only national dream-granting organization for terminally-ill adults, fulfills final Dreams that provide inspiration, closure and comfort at the end of life. With the support of a nationwide network of volunteers, hospices, health care organizations and committed donors, Dream Foundation has given life to nearly 25,000 final Dreams over the past two decades, and has never turned down a qualified request.
The mission is to transport all American veterans (capable of traveling) to Washington DC to see the Memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. Highest priority is given to WWII veterans and any veteran diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors, and supporters make wishes possible for children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. A wish-come-true replaces fear with hope; hopelessness with optimism; and helps wish kids feel better and sometimes even get better. Make-A-Wish® grants more than 14,200 wishes throughout the U.S. and its territories each year; nearly 75 percent of those wishes involve travel.
This organization empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact. We deploy veterans on new missions in their communities, so that their actions will inspire future generations to serve.
We help nearly six million children and families around the world find comfort and access to critical health services each year. Our Ronald McDonald House Program alone gives children a place to play after a long day at the hospital; parents a place for a good night’s sleep and warm meal, near the hospital; and families relief from the financial and emotional burdens of traveling for their child’s medical care.
