Supplier Information

In support of connecting People with what's important in their lives, we’re committed to maintaining our low-cost Leadership through effective and efficient procurement practices and ensuring that we spend our valuable capital wisely.

The Mission of Supply Chain Management at Southwest Airlines®

All Suppliers are treated fairly and impartially during the evaluation and selection process. We use more than one selection process, depending on Company requirements and supply market conditions. Each selection process is focused on the most efficient way to achieve the same results and the best value combination of quality, Reliability, and service for Southwest® at the lowest total cost.

It’s important that everyone involved in the procurement process—the Supply Chain Management Department, our Internal Customers, and our current Suppliers and potential Suppliers—all have a common understanding of the Southwest procurement process.

Our Procurement Ethics

Southwest expects all internal and external participants in the procurement process to observe the highest standards of ethical conduct.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We’re committed to a Culture that recognizes, respects, and values differences.

Our Suppliers

Working with our Suppliers is an important part of being a good Corporate Citizen. We partner with our Suppliers not only because of the impact they have on the products and equipment we use in the skies, on the ground, and in our offices, but also because of their impact on our triple bottom line of Performance, People, and Planet. We look to build relationships with our Suppliers to help fulfill our operational needs, stimulate economic growth in the communities we serve, and satisfy the expectations of our stakeholders.
