  • Self-tag your bag and avoid waiting in line

You can print your bag tags and tag your bags at a self-tagging kiosk located at the ticket counter inside the airport. You can also check in, print your boarding pass, and upgrade to Business Select®. Available in select cities.

  • Manage your flight on the fly, even in the airport

If you’re at the airport and need to change your flight, you can quickly do so by using our mobile site, Southwest® app, self-service kiosk, or by speaking with a Customer Service agent at a ticket counter or departure gate.

    Change my flight

  • Arrive at the gate on time

Please arrive to your gate at least 30 minutes prior to your flight’s scheduled departure. All passengers must obtain their boarding passes and be in the gate area available for boarding at least 10 minutes prior to your flight’s scheduled departure time. If not, Southwest® may cancel your reserved space and you will not be eligible for denied boarding compensation.

  • Charge your device before boarding

We don’t have standard or USB plugs onboard, so if your smartphone, tablet, or laptop is running low on battery, we recommend getting a quick charge in the airport prior to boarding.

  • Flying across the country? Consider purchasing food in the airport

Peanuts or pretzels are always complimentary, but if you’re flying on a long flight you may consider picking up some food in the airport.
