Business Select

  • Purchasing this fare will enable you to board the plane in the first portion of the "A" boarding group.

  • These fares are refundable and changeable and may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines.
  • Standby travel between the same city pairs and on the original date of travel is permitted with no change in fare; however, you may lose the privilege of boarding in the first portion of the "A" group.
  • Fares do not include a federal excise tax of up to $3.60 per takeoff and landing.

Wanna Get Away

  • Fares are nonrefundable but may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines.
  • Should a passenger fail to apply the nonrefundable ticket toward the purchase of future travel within the eligibility period, the entire amount of the fare, which includes without limitation, all fees, taxes, and charges, will be forfeited.
  • Standby travel is permitted but requires that the Customer pay the difference between the original fare and the "Anytime" fare.

Rapid Reward Freedom Awards

  • Fares do not include government-imposed September 11th Security Fee of up to $10 roundtrip.
  • Rapid Rewards Freedom Awards are available for one-way or roundtrip travel.
  • Reservations must be made at least one hour prior to departure.
  • Award Travel is changeable.
  • Each Freedom Award is valid through the expiration date indicated on the corresponding Award notification.
  • Travel on an Award is ineligible for Rapid Rewards credit.
  • Rapid Rewards Freedom Awards are subject to limited blackout dates.
  • Award travel must take place on published service between origin and destination. If Southwest Airlines does not offer published service between origin and destination, you must contact a Reservations Sales Agent at (800) 248-4377 to make your reservation.
  • Arrival at destination must take place on the same day as departure from origin. An overnight stopover may not take place at midpoint between origin and destination. In the event an overnight stopover is scheduled, two Awards must be used.
  • Ticketless Travel may be purchased online using funds from up to 2 previously unused or cancelled Ticketless Travel reservation(s) and a total of 4 additional payments. Additional payments can include a credit card (or PayPal), southwestgiftcards®, and Southwest LUV Vouchers.
  • Southwest Airlines' travel vouchers, Tokens of LUV, paper gift certificates, and discount coupons may not be used as forms of payment for Ticketless Travel.
  • Ticketless Travel funds from previously unused reservations on Southwest Airlines are valid for 12 months from the original purchase date and may not be extended.
  • All Rapid Rewards Rules and Regulations apply.

Rapid Reward Standard Awards

  • Fares do not include government-imposed September 11th Security Fee of up to $10 roundtrip.
  • Rapid Rewards Standard Awards are available for one-way or roundtrip travel.
  • Reservations must be made at least one hour prior to departure.
  • Award Travel is changeable.
  • Rapid Rewards Standard Awards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue, and all travel using a Rapid Rewards Standard Award must be completed by the expiration date of the award.
  • Travel on an Award is ineligible for Rapid Rewards credit.
  • Rapid Rewards Standard Awards are subject to seat restrictions meaning that seats on all flights will not be available on all days. It may be difficult to secure a seat around peak travel times and holiday periods.
  • Rapid Rewards Members have the option to convert two (2) unused, unexpired Rapid Rewards Standard Awards from their account to one (1) Rapid Rewards Freedom Award. See more information on converting your Standard Awards to Freedom Awards.
  • Award travel must take place on published service between origin and destination. If Southwest Airlines does not offer published service between origin and destination, you must contact a Reservations Sales Agent at (800) 248-4377 to make your reservation.
  • Arrival at destination must take place on the same day as departure from origin. An overnight stopover may not take place at midpoint between origin and destination. In the event an overnight stopover is scheduled, two Awards must be used.

Rapid Reward Companion Pass

  • Rapid Rewards Companion Passes are available for one-way or roundtrip travel.
  • No advance purchase is required.
  • Companion Pass Travel is changeable.
  • Reservations must be made at least one hour prior to departure.
  • The Companion Pass is valid for free travel only when the Companion is accompanied on his/her flight(s) by the Rapid Rewards Member.
  • The Member and his/her Companion must check in together and present the Companion Pass in order to travel. Valid photo identification for both Member and Companion is also required.
  • All travel using a Companion Pass must be completed by the expiration date printed on the Companion Pass.
  • Travel on a Companion Pass is ineligible for Rapid Rewards credit.
  • Companion Pass travel must take place on published service between origin and destination. If Southwest Airlines does not offer published service between origin and destination, you must contact a Reservations Sales Agent at (800) 248-4377 to make your reservation.
