Get to Orlando and soak up all of the sun this fantastic city has to offer! While widely known for its world-class theme parks, there is much more to Orlando than parks and roller coasters. The city boasts beautiful gardens, outdoor and indoor recreational areas, and a great downtown for you to explore with family or friends while you’re in town. There isn’t a shortage of fun and adventurous things to do during your stay if you’re looking to explore Orlando.
Take advantage of the Everglades and check out Bok Tower Gardens, a National Historic Landmark that was one of Orlando’s first attractions. This large 700-acre garden boasts gorgeous citrus groves, nature and conservation trails, and woodland gardens that will leave you in awe by Orlando’s natural beauty. Of course, this isn’t the only place to interact with nature. Make sure to check out boat rides and get a chance to see wildlife such as alligators and crocodiles, which are common in the area. In addition, you’ll love taking a trip to The Florida Aquarium to experience and learn about various ecosystems. You can even view the 500,000-gallon tank for a closer look at incredible creatures.
If you’re hoping to spend more time outside and splash in the water, you definitely won’t want to miss out on visiting Orlando’s closest Eastern beach, Cocoa beach. There, you’ll get to soak up the sun, walk along the pier, visit shops, and eat delicious seafood. Cocoa beach is close to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, where you might just see a rocket launch! Visiting this coast comes with perks you won’t want to miss.
If you’d like the inside scoop on what the locals do, a trip to downtown Orlando is a must. There you can walk around Orlando’s historic downtown streets such as Church Street. Visit the iconic Railroad Depot, a major attraction before theme parks landed in Orlando. On Church Street you can experience Orlando’s vibrant night life and the best eateries. Eat and dance your way through town when you visit this vibrant part of the city. Your trip to Orlando won’t experience a dull moment!
