Discover all that Denver has to offer. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first time visiting or your hundredth—Denver never seems to lose its magic. Situated in the South Platte River Valley and within close proximity of the Rockies, Denver’s mountainous landscape is breathtaking and the city is full of exciting things to do. There is a variety of delicious dining options, including amazing breweries. Artists will enjoy the city’s many art museums, while concertgoers will have a variety of shows to choose from on any given weekend. From baseball to basketball to hockey, Denver is also a hot spot for professional sports. When it comes to this high-altitude city, your options are limitless!
If you like music, the Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a must see. One of the world’s best concert venues, this geologically formed natural amphitheater provides excellent acoustics and beautiful views of Red Rocks Park. Another one of the city’s gems: the Denver Botanic Gardens. Amongst the plants and flowers, the Denver Botanic Gardens feature a Japanese garden with lily pads and a pool. Would you like to go for a stroll through town? Explore Larimer Square, one of Denver’s historic areas. Larimer Square originated during the Gold Rush and now is one of the city’s most popular areas for shopping, restaurants, and more.
If you would like to get some learning in during your trip, visit the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum; these air and space vehicles will impress kids and children at heart alike! Another interesting stop is the American Museum of Western Art. When you visit this museum, you’ll hear and see cool stories about the American West. If you need some fresh air after your museum visits, take a trip to the mountains. Denver attracts hikers, skiers, climbers, and snowboarders alike. With stunning slopes just a short road trip from the city, the mountain air is impossible to resist.
