Southwest® flights from Providence to Tampa from $114

Grab your swimsuit and your favorite pair of sunglasses and indulge yourself in the white sand beaches that stretch along the western coast of Florida. Tampa Bay is home to numerous beaches known for crystal-clear waters and a beach-walk promenade. Check out Fort DeSoto, a gorgeous barrier island that also has a 1,136-acre park for nature hikes or getting out on the water for boating. For a more secluded excursion, be sure to check out Shell Key Preserve, an island only accessible by public ferry or private boat where you have a good chance of spotting dolphins and other wildlife.

Head back inland to explore many of Tampa’s museums and state parks. Ybor City Museum State Park invites you to experience the rich history of Ybor City, a historical neighborhood located northeast of downtown Tampa. Another neighborhood to check out is the Channel District, known as Florida’s largest seaport where commercial freighters and sailboats call home.
