This section of the city is comprised of 15 separate National Historical Register Districts, so you could spend a whole day exploring historic sites. The South Main Residential Historic District is a can’t miss for fans of Queen Anne, Craftsman, and Colonial Revival style homes. If you’d prefer to get your dose of historic Little Rock and Arkansas indoors, head to the Old State House Museum to learn about the state’s recent history. The Historic Arkansas Museum houses exhibits about the Arkansas of old, primarily the frontier period, making the two a perfect pairing for a day of museum hopping.
