Southwest® flights from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Phoenix from $157

Pay a visit to the Urban Heart of Arizona and see for yourself why Phoenix is one of the most exciting up-and-coming cities in the Southwest. Just minutes from the airport to downtown, head straight from the plane to one of Phoenix's cultural destinations. For art and culture lovers, peruse the galleries at the Phoenix Art Museum, the Fleischer Museum, and the Heard Museum, or enjoy a ballet performance at the Orpheum Theater. Take a short drive to neighboring Scottsdale to tour Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West, the architecture school and winter home of the renowned modern architect.

If you prefer hiking and outdoor adventuring, Phoenix is the perfect place to be. The city is full of parks and natural preserves, offering plenty of opportunities for rock climbing, hot air ballooning, desert Jeep tours, and exploration on foot. Visit the Desert Botanical Garden and red rock buttes in Papago Park, walk the 50 miles of trails in South Mountain Park and Preserve, or hike up Camelback Mountain, a 1,200-foot-tall landmark bearing an uncanny resemblance to a kneeling camel. Phoenix is located in the Sonoran Desert, home of the saguaro cactus and one of the few places in the world where it grows natively, so be sure to keep an eye out for these prickly plants.
