• Rental cars: Book a rental car in advance, then pick it up outside the terminal after you land to explore Oahu on your own schedule.
• Rideshares and taxis: You can easily catch a rideshare or taxi from the airport, putting you in Waikiki or downtown Honolulu in about 20 to 30 minutes.
• Hotel shuttles: Several resorts and hotels offer complimentary shuttle service, so check your reservation before your travel day.
• Public transportation: For a budget-friendly transit option, look for TheBus, which provides extensive routes across the island directly from HNL.

What’s the Best Time to Travel from Seattle to Honolulu?

• Winter: It’s the peak busy season, but it’s also the perfect time to escape Washington’s cold, wet weather with a flight from Seattle to Honolulu.
• Summer: This season is highly popular for family vacations, so expect bigger crowds, but it’s also ideal for swimming, surfing, and snorkeling.
• Spring and Fall: If you want fewer crowds and better value, try booking your Seattle to Honolulu flights during the shoulder seasons.
• Pro-tip: Winter is the surfer's season of choice, but be prepared for bigger swells if you're new to surfing. Summer offers more beginner-friendly waves, especially on the island's south shore.
