When you set your sights on Palm Springs, you’ll be delighted to find a variety of activities in the desert resort town. Not only do upscale resorts, spas, and shopping abound, but there is also plenty of natural beauty to enjoy. Over ten percent of the city sits on Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indian reservation land, and the Agua Caliente people are the largest landowners in the city.
Palm Springs International Airport is conveniently located along Highway 111 and about three miles east of downtown Palm Springs. You’ll probably want to rent a car to get around but there are also bus routes around Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. With more than 350 days of sunshine, remember to pack your sun hats and sunscreen! Temperatures in the winter average in the 70s, making it the perfect spot for snowbirds and young tourists alike.
