Southwest® flights from Denver to Colorado Springs from $149

Your exploration of Colorado Springs can begin as soon as you deplane at Colorado Springs Airport. Next door at the Peterson Airforce Base is the Peterson Air & Space Museum, housed in the airport’s original Art Deco terminal building. Here you can learn about the base’s importance during World War II and explore several aircraft on display.

There are plenty of other museums to explore during your visit if aviation artifacts don’t blow your hair back. If an authentic Wild West experience is what you crave, explore the Ghost Town Museum. See preserved buildings from early towns in the Pikes Peak region, pan for gold like a prospector, and even play antique arcade games! If panning for gold has money on your mind, check out the American Numismatic Association Edward C. Rochette Money Museum—the largest museum dedicated to the study and collection of money in the U.S. The Mini-Mint allows visitors to see how coins were made from the 1500s to the late 1800s.
