Wing your way to Colorado Springs Airport the next time the mountains are calling your name. Hop on a Southwest flight and you’ll be in The Springs in no time. In fact, your sightseeing can begin almost as soon as you deplane: the Peterson Air and Space Museum, inside the Peterson Air Force Base, is located right next door to the airport. The base and the airport share an airfield and the museum buildings used to be active terminals.
